Beyond the big three of YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, exist several other social networks. These tend to be visual in nature and have wider adoption by millennials. In this class, we will look at the individual features of Instagram, Pinterest and SnapChat, and discuss how to decide which of these networks are right for your nonprofit and how to get started.Attendees will learn:
• The basic functions and how to get started on Instagram
• The basic functions and how to get started on Pinterest
• The basic functions and how to get started on SnapChat
• How nonprofits are using these networks effectively
This training is designed for beginners and intermediate social media users and will give a general understanding of these networks. Participants are urged to bring their own laptops, smartphones or tablets, and download the mentioned apps before the class.
The speaker will be Michael Sorg. Michael Sorg is a long time Videographer and Editor in the Pittsburgh area. Currently, he owns and operates Sorgatron Media, Inc., and is a co-organizer of Podcamp Pittsburgh. Michael is also director of web media for S’eclairer, pc, and has extensive experience in social media in support of his own Podcasting ventures since 2006.
