10 Years of a Podcast

10 years ago, I decided to try this Podcast thing.  And talk about Professional Wrestling.  Mainly WWE.  We ended up calling it Wrestling Mayhem Show.

dudders and rizz playing wwe2k16 at looking for groupI’ve said many times on Basic Sorcanomics and to others everything I have in my work is from this Podcast.  This show has led to Podcamp Pittsburgh, to working with local independent wrestling promotions, and gaining confidence to move on.

I have about an hour of footage to go through as Katie and Missy did a Q&A with people at our 10 Year Party at Looking for Group.

I overheard some of the amazing realizations:

People are talking about wrestling without us original co-hosts even involved. And they were recording as we were at the party from their locations in New York and Texas.

The amazing coincidence.  Matt Carlins discussed how he found Wrestling Mayhem Show on Stitcher and listened for a few episodes before realizing we were from Pittsburgh. Now, he’s a huge part of WMS, and a couple other wrestling related projects.

Often, I hear from friends and others they haven’t done anything for 10 years, let alone a Podcast.  When we celebrated 5 years of the show, I never knew we could make the 10 year mark.  And now I wonder about a 15 or a 20.

What are you going to start today?
