Thank you everyone for your feedback over the last week! Not just as far as this newsletter goes, but in other ways too!
I’ve opened up even more opportunities to see behind the scenes of how we make things at Sorgatron Media. We’re not a big company with a budget to get all the coolest toys and bells and whistles to make our videos, so we may have more…inventive…solutions.
The week started with me using Meerkat, an iPhone application that simply streams video from your phone. This has been open while recording my morning Podcasts (Mayhem Minute, Basic Sorganomics, and Mini-AwesomeCast). It’s been a pleasure to see up to 10 people joining me as I do these. Later in the week, I switched to playing with Periscope, Twitter’s answer to Meerkat. It’s sleeker and seems to allow you to post videos in it for later viewing. But as a video person, I’m devesated by the vertical video-only style. But I found my way around some of that in Snapchat already.
